Heading to Jamaica in 2024 here is a list of all the festivals happening to ensure you have a great time.
1. **Accompong Maroon Festival (January):** Celebrating the Maroon heritage, this festival in St. Elizabeth Parish marks the signing of the peace treaty with the British in 1739.

How to apply for your passport!
First make an appointment. Usps.com
The form you’ll need is a DS-11 filled out in BLACK ink only! (Yes fill out the information about your parents on the second page!) If you filled out the form online, PRINT AND BRING TO APPOINTMENT.(some people don’t)
Bring your STATE ID OR DRIVERS LICENSE NOT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD. And bring your birth certificate (can’t be laminated, torn, taped together, or stained.)
If you are applying for a minor (15 and younger. Mom and Dad must be present if on birth certificate. If there is a special circumstance ( ex. Jail, deceased, or not present in child’s life we will provide you with further instruction) 16 and older only one parent needs to be present.
Now on to the price.
IF you plan on flying out of the country you WILL need a passport book ($130) , a passport card is ($30 and you can only drive in and out of Canada /Mexico/ Some seaports). usually about 8-10 weeks if you need it faster expedited fee is an additional $60 (4-6 weeks) All to be made out to the Department of State on a check or money order. The processing fee for the post office /or court house is $35 (separate fee). Picture fee is $15.
