Today, Baton Rouge Fire Department members joined the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, members of the FDNY, community leaders, and attendees at LSU’s Parade Ground as the Steel Across America tour made its stop in Baton Rouge.

At the center of the ceremony stood a steel beam recovered from the South Tower of the World Trade Center.

For many in attendance, seeing it was powerful. Touching it was something else entirely.

Twenty-five years later, that steel remains more than metal. It stands as a reminder of sacrifice, service, resilience, and the lives forever changed by September 11, 2001.

We are honored to help remember the fallen, stand alongside our brothers and sisters of the FDNY, and help ensure their legacy endures. 🇺🇸
