1. What would you say to someone who’s thinking about joining BR Active? 

If you’re looking for a great workout that is a more personalized approach, BR Active will be a wonderful fit for you. As a former professional athlete, I love coming to these classes as they are challenging and you can get as much as you put into them. I’ve already seen great results working out there. It is a great blend of lifting weights, cardio, mobility work.  Coach Dwayne is extremely knowledgeable in terms of everything lifting, body movements, recovery, and more.


2. What’s changed in your life since you joined BR Active?

Not only has BR Active allowed me to meet new people, I feel great in everyday life since starting here. I feel stronger, more confident in the weight room, and happy as this is an environment for everyone. Progress has been seen in a short amount of time and again, this is a place where you can go at your pace, push yourself, and get in a great workout. Professional athlete/avid lifter or beginner, this gym is great for everyone.

We are tucked away behind other things and “hidden” in the Industriplex area. You won’t see us driving by and as most things in Baton Rouge, it isn’t a walking area either.

People who say we’re a hidden gem appreciate the welcoming people, commitment to quality coaching, and workouts that meet their daily needs and are easily adjusted to do so.

Coaching and programming is a whole different topic but starting at a new gym can be very intimidating so always hearing how welcoming everyone is goes a long way to helping us know we’ve built something worth having.
