We are proud to celebrate a group of two students from the Southeastern STEM Scholars program who placed in the Top 5 of our Louisiana: Mapped StoryMap Competition with an entry on Electric Reliance in Louisiana.

These students are part of an extraordinary program. The Northshore STEM Center's STEM Scholars program, hosted at Southeastern Louisiana University is designed to prepare high school students, particularly those from underserved and underrepresented communities, for careers in STEM fields. Scholars worked alongside faculty mentors, industry mentors, and near-peer mentors while participating in meaningful, project-based experiential learning.

This particular cohort focused on H2 the Future through FUEL (Future Use of Energy in Louisiana), an NSF-funded initiative positioning Louisiana as a national leader in energy innovation.
