Check this out! This video explains hypoxia, or low dissolved oxygen conditions, in the Gulf of America and how seasonal “dead zones” form off the Louisiana coast. The video highlights the causes of hypoxia, how scientists monitor these conditions, and the impacts of low oxygen on our reef fish fisheries.
