Cardio (or any form of exercise)alone is not a great way to lose weight.
Pretty bad sales pitch for a personal trainer I know.
The truth is you'll never be able to out cardio/exercise poor food choices.
But, here's the kicker...diet and exercise works better than just diet alone for getting results that turn heads.
There are three steps to making life-changing, jaw dropping, sustainable progress.
1. Understand energy balance to get a rough estimate of how much food you should be getting on a daily basis multiply your goal bodyweight by 10 or 11 and that is your target calories for the day.
2. Get your protein intake up. Shoot for 1g/lb per day of protein.
3. Strength train 2-3x per week and try to get 7-10k steps per day.
Those are the principles.
The methods for getting you there are almost endless. The trick is to find methods that work for you and your unique circumstances.
