Interior designers always say every room needs a pop of red. Something that draws the eye, anchors the space, and brings warmth into the home. This piece does just that.

I love how content these two little boats feel beside each other. They feel quiet, steady, and companionable. There’s a sense of calm in their closeness that made this painting especially meaningful to create. The rich red carries energy, the soft ochres feel inviting, while the stillness of the blue water keeps everything grounded.

Painting this work brought me so much joy, and I can’t wait for it to find its new collector and a new wall to call home.
