I came across this idea and thought I'd share. Shaker style has gotten very popular and here is an easy DIY way to get it. Change the look of your outdated cabinets in a few simple steps. Cut the wood strips to size, glue them on, caulk, paint, done!

Here is a photo I came across of a kitchen with brick walls and backsplash. I thinks it looks great. With tile and granite so popular we forget about good old brick.

Here is a 'before' and 'after' of a recent renovation I just completed of the kitchen in a mid-century cottage. Aren't those retro yellow appliances great?
