Louisvilleās Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre (a native son of the Diocese of Baton Rouge) spoke at this week's USCCB gathering about how the Sacred Heart of Jesus builds communities, and is a wonderful presentation of what living with the love of the Sacred Heart should look like in the Church, for the good of society.

The heart of the matter A presentation by Louisville's Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre, on how the Sacred Heart of Jesus builds communities, was a tour de force of what living with the love of the Sacred Heart should look like in the Church, for the good of society.
On this Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we turn our hearts to Christ, whose love is endless, merciful, and always open to us. May we find rest in His Sacred Heart and strive each day to live with greater trust and devotion.

On June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops consecrated the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes around the country are encouraged to join the bishops in celebrating the consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart.
