The Mike Repole Expansion Project Explained.
2026, they have 8 teams. St. Louis Battlehawks Dallas Renegades, Houston Gamblers, Louisville Kings, Columbus Aviators, Birmingham Stallions, Orlando Storm, DC Defenders.

in 2028, they are adding Oklahoma City Lightning, and Michigan Panthers again.

Recently Mike Repole said he wants the UFL to be 32 teams. So I did the digging and found Repole's guide to ideal locations.

Lets start on the big eye opener here. CANADA... Yes, Repole will do something the NFL won't do, Cross-Boarder league. So lets look at the Big 3 markets, and Stadiums that Repole will want.

Montreal:
Saputo Stadium. Holds 19,619 Fans.

Toronto:
BMO Field. Holds 45,000 Fans.

Vancouver:
BC Place. Holds 22,120 Fans.

Now, with Vancouver in the picture, he will need some west coast teams to help with travel cost.

Seattle, or Renton. The Soccer Club is planning on building a 20,000 seat stadium near their practice facility in Renton. Possible to be done by 2032 or earlier. Welcome back Seattle Sea Dragons*

Portland Oregon.
Providence Park. Holds 25,000 Fans. This is a un-used NFL area and we will welcome back The Portland Breakers.

San Jose, California
PayPal Park. Holds 18,000 Fans, Yes this a heavy NFL market, but what are diehard Football fans to do in the spring. This also helps with travel cost for a define west coast division. Long shot on a team name, but if you go way back to 2000, San Francisco Demons.

San Diego California.
Snapdragon Stadium. Holds 35,000 fans. Perfect area for a San Diego Fleet team.

Tucson, Arizona.
Lets not focus on Phoenix here with the cardinals. If Flagstaff, had a more dense population, it would have made a win win to put a team here being a lot closer to Las Vegas. Tucson, being a stand alone big city without really any sports team. would sure bring in some fans.
Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium. Holds 11,000 Fans and could be the home of the Arizona Hot Shots.

Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sam Boyd Stadium. Holds 35,000 fans. Yes, we know... its a heavy Sports market now....Clark County just purchased the stadium last year, so who know what repole could do with this... Not sure much on bringing the Vipers back, maybe bring back the Las Vegas Locomotives.

Salt Lake City, Utah.
American First Field. Holds 20,000 fans. No real football, professionally, anywhere. Maybe Repole could do another Unexpected move the NFL has never done... Salt Lake City Stallions... how many people remember that team?

Denver Colorado
Dick Sporting goods park. Holds 18,000 fans. Anyone? Denver Gold to go with those Nuggets?

Albuquerque, New Mexico
Isotopes Park. Holds 13,000 fans. An area that never has really been tapped for a professional market...and that is what repole is looking for.

That would end the western expansion of the UFL.

Now lets see about the Central part of the USA.

We have Oklahoma coming in 2028... but let us just beat the dead horse some more here. HOUSTON does not deserve a team anymore. Their fan base is like Saints fans, you lose a game, you lose fans. you lose a team, just to get rebranded, you lose fans.

Houston Gamblers will need to be relocated to Austin Texas.
Q2 Stadium. Holds 20,738 Fans in a heavy Longhorn city.

New Orleans Louisiana.
Tad Gormley Stadium.....until the Shrine on Airline is finished being converted into a football stadium. Now, I believe everyone will say New Orleans never got to see the new Breakers play. yes, we didn't, but we didn't break anything anyways. so lets give us something that matches SPRING in New Orleans? Mardi Gras.....Hello New Orleans Krewe. If you want to even get a already established fan base in New Orleans... Get the New Orleans VooDoo name back into football.

Miami Florida.
Nu Stadium. Holds 26,700 fans. Why Miami? Have you seen their Dolphins lately? There once was a wharthog....... Florida Tuskers.

Now let us head up a bit north...
Hot-Lanta, Georgia. The Atlanta Falcons are like the opposite of your grandmothers coffee table. They have no rings. Lets bring the city some good spring football.
Bobby Dobb Stadium. Holds 55,000 fans.Yes this is a bit of a stretch here, but with the Atlanta Legends name back. they could have a shot here.

Richmond, Virginia
City Stadium, Holds 22,000 fans. Welcome back The Virginia Destroyers.

Now lets go to the city, which is one of the biggest TV markets in the USA. Chicago. The Chicago Fire FC is building a new stadium well south west of the city, and we don't blame them. With a city with a team called Fire.... lets give the boys in blue a team there and share a home... The Chicago Enforcers.

Now we head into the final 4 teams to make Repole's 32 dream team.

Pittsburgh, Penn.

Philadelphia, Penn.

Hartford, CT

Harrison, New Jersey

Now, I can hear the questions. Why Pitt and Philly? Simple....
The Maulers and Stars where a city staple of the USFL.

Now where would they play at, they can't play where they where before.... well...

Pittsburgh, Penn.
Highmark Stadium. Holds 11,000 people. with an expansion coming soon.

Philadelphia, Penn.
Subaru Park. Holds 18,500 fans.

Now we cross that river into New Jersey and bring back the Generals to play in?

Sports Illustrated Stadium. Holds 25,000 fans and Repole is a very Sports Illustrated guy.

Next one, this one is going to be the head scratcher for a lot of people. Why CT.... Why not?

Hartford, CT
Rentschler Field. Home of the Uconn Huskies. Holds 40,000 fans.
Yes it is a heavy sports area...but I believe with Repole behind this, it can work.

Also a interesting find. Back in 2009 one of our investors was in the process of joining the USFL for the 2010 season, (Which never happened) That he was bringing back the Breakers to Baton Rouge to play at Brec Memorial Stadium. Still to this day, we never will know what stopped them from actually doing this.

This was our concept to our Battle on the Bayou uniforms against the Lafayette Wildcatters or Louisiana Roughnecks.
