A miter saw makes cutting to final length quick and accurate. A miter saw station should have a way to set stops so repeat cuts are exactly the same.
Using a table saw to cut a taper makes the operation go quickly and accurately. Care must be taken to avoid the blade and kickback from the workpiece.

Baton Rouge Woodworkers is doing community service by building 10 dining tables for O’Brien House residents. 8 each 2-3 person teams purchase materials and build at a member’s shop.
