Kingfish Communications, LLC dba Louisiana Radio Network and Tiger Rag Magazine is seeking an experienced advertising sales representative to join our established sales team.

Candidates must be goal-focused, aggressive and possess a strong sense of ownership. Qualified candidates have the potential to earn a six figure salary.

JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

Managing and building a full pipeline of existing and prospective clients across various industries
Proactively identifying new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, marketing, referrals and prospecting Selling and exceeding established revenue goals
Building relationships and developing long-term partnerships with clients
Creating and presenting multi-media campaigns via our print and digital solutions
Negotiation and closing proficiency Persuasive communication skills: verbal, written and presentation

Work Experience 2 years in media/advertising sales is preferred, but not required.  Education High school diploma, college degree preferred.

TASKS

Plan and prepare advertising and promotional material to increase sales of products or services, working with customers, and company officials.
Inspect layouts and advertising copy and edit scripts, audio and video tapes, and other promotional material for adherence to specifications.
Coordinate with departments, such as sales, graphic arts, and media.
Gather and organize information to plan advertising campaigns.
Contact organizations to explain services and facilities offered.
Read trade journals and professional literature to stay informed on trends, innovations, and changes that affect media planning.
Prepare and negotiate advertising and sales contracts.
Formulate plans to extend business with established accounts and to transact business as agent for advertising accounts.
Confer with clients to provide marketing or technical advice.
Assemble and communicate with a strong, diverse coalition of organizations or public figures, securing their cooperation, support, and action, to further
Consult publications to learn about conventions and social functions and to organize prospect files for promotional purposes.

KNOWLEDGE

Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Communications and Media — Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
