Bonjour, Chaîne friends! We're trading our dining tables for cutting boards — the Baton Rouge Bailliage is heading to Red Stick Spice for a hands-on cooking class, and you're invited to join the fun.

What Would Julia Do?

A Julia Child–inspired cooking class with Red Stick Spice.

When: Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM*Where:
Red Stick Spice, Baton Rouge
Cost: $135 per person
Spots available:12 (first come, first served!)

As Julia herself said, *"People who love to eat are always the best people."* In that spirit, we'll cook our way through a gorgeous menu together:

• Potato Leek Soup — velvety smooth, the Julia way\
• Suprêmes de Volaille aux Champignons— chicken breasts in a luxurious mushroom cream sauce
• Parsnip Purée— Julia's beloved "other potato"
• Cast Iron Ratatouille — a beautiful, composed take on the classic
• Cold Crunchy Green Beans - with Julia's Vinaigrette & Pistachios
• Mini Baked Alaskas — because every woman should have a blow torch

Our menu will be paired with fine wines (included in the cost).

This class fills a table of just 12, so don't wait! Members are welcome to bring a guest.

Vice Conseiller Culinaire Dianne Drouant was a judge at the Chaine des Rotisseurs Young Chefs competition in San Antonio last weekend. She enjoyed meeting with other Chaine des Rotisseurs Southwest Region chapters and learning more about how culinary competitions are organized as that is a future goal of the Baton Rouge Chapter.
