Please join us in congratulating Brandt Middleton on joining GEC full-time!

Brandt has been a student intern in GEC’s Baton Rouge office, learning the ins and outs of design and modeling. This month, he graduated from LSU with a degree in civil engineering, and will continue to work full-time in our Environmental Division. He is currently working on earning his professional engineering license and MBA in the coming years.

Outside of work he enjoys being active, including running, hiking, and working out. He also enjoys being creative, including playing drums, writing music, watching films and theater, and creative production.

On Tuesday, May 19th, GEC's Sherri LeBas, PE and Bliss Bernard, PE attended the 2026 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Legislative Infrastructure Drive-In Reception. GEC participated as sponsor benefitting the Louisiana ASCE Infrastructure Report Card. This document is designed to present legislators with the infrastructure challenges facing our state, facilitate important conversations with leaders, and to continue ASCE's mission of advocacy for Louisiana.

Last Friday, May 15th, GEC staff attended the Louisiana Engineering Society (LES) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) joint crawfish boil at Walk-On's. They had the opportunity to network with other industry professionals, eat delicious crawfish, and earn an Ethics PDH from a presentation by Chris Knotts, PE.
