EBR Focus Choice Schools

Ms. Colson's 7th grade STEM class took part in the statewide Global Geospatial Institute's StoryMap Competition. SEVEN of our students placed in the competition, with Eva Legard Center for Coastal and Environmental Studies finishing in the top 5 for the state. Students received a mock check as a certificate and will receive a cash prize.

The White Coat Ceremony symbolizes the importance of compassion in medical care at the start of medical training. Students from Park Medical Academy gathered at Baton Rouge General Medical Center to participate in this symbolic ceremony. Guest speakers included former State Representative, Ted James, Baton Rouge General physician, Dr. Vincent Shaw, as well as a few words from district employees. 6th grade students received their coats, and 7th grade students were presented with pins. Closing remarks were deliverd by Principal Tate before families surrounded their students in celebration of their growth this past year. Want to learn more about Park Medical Academy?
