FUN FACT: MELASMA
Let's talk about melasma, also called "the mask of pregnancy."
These are dark patches that can show up on your face... usually on your forehead, cheeks, or upper lip.
Pregnancy hormones combined with sun exposure trigger increased melanin production, which creates these patches.
They usually fade after pregnancy, but they can stick around longer for some people.
Sunscreen is your best friend here... it won't reverse melasma, but it can keep it from getting worse.
If you're dealing with this, you're not alone. It's super common and nothing you did wrong.
