Celebrating our 2023 Small Company of the Year, Orion Laboratories.

Orion was founded in 2019 by Rachael and David Slaughter, and their business partner True Webb, with the goal of creating a professional, local, full-service lab focused on customer service without any bloodwork leaving the state. A year after Orion launched, the COVID pandemic hit, and the company quickly pivoted to provide onsite disease testing for school children and employees throughout the state. Today, this full-service medical testing company services all of Louisiana and is the largest independent laboratory in the state.
