Michael Hooper

I am a candidate for the Central Community School Board, District 6 election in 2022. I am a longtime resident of Central with a strong business and community service background. I have served on the Central Community School System Finance Committee for 10 years. My children attended school in the Central Community School System and graduated from Central High School.

As the President/CEO of my company, I have extensive leadership experience, along with success engaging multiple parties to collaborate and work together to accomplish shared goals.

Community Service is important. I am currently the Chairman of the Board for the Better Business Bureau for South Central Louisiana. I am a past Board Chairman and current board member for Istrouma Area Council Boy Scouts of America, as well as the Treasurer of Covenant Community Church. I am also a former board member and supporter of Louisiana Dream Teachers, and served for many years as a scouting leader and a Sunday school teacher.

I am a CPA, Eagle Scout and have Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Louisiana State University.
