Congratulations to our IOLS Graduates!

This weekend, our leaders took a big step forward in delivering quality scouting experiences by completing Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) training!

From learning essential outdoor skills to mastering scouting fundamentals, these dedicated individuals are now equipped to guide our scouts in their outdoor adventures, fostering leadership, independence, and a love for nature.

We are incredibly proud of their hard work and commitment to creating a better, stronger Scouting program. Thank you for giving your time and energy to grow as leaders and role models!

Day 2 of IOLS Training: Adventure Awaits!

Day 2 of Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) is in full swing, and the energy is high as our leaders dive deeper into essential Scout skills. Here’s a sneak peek at what our participants tackled today:

Knife Safety: Learning the fine art of safely handling knives and other tools, sharpening skills (literally), and ensuring our Scouts can carve their way to success safely!

Fire Building: Sparks were flying (in a good way) as leaders honed their fire-starting techniques. From kindling prep to building the perfect fire lay, we’ve mastered what it takes to create warmth and light for outdoor adventures.

Plant and Critter Identification: Exploring the great outdoors means knowing the world around us! Leaders sharpened their observation skills, identifying local plants and critters while discussing which ones to admire, respect, or avoid.

With every skill learned, we’re empowering our leaders to deliver even more exciting, safe, and educational experiences for their Scouts!
