We conducted a prescribed burn for a landowner in Montgomery County, Kansas, with the goals of wildlife management. We use detailed prescriptions to reach the goals of our burns, safely. This is the 4th burn we’ve done for this landowner on this property.

Earlier this week we conducted a 400+ acre burn in Cowley County, Kansas as a part of a multi-year consulting/wildlife management/grazing management project. We burn when the conditions are right to reach the goals of the burn and for safety. This burn unit adjoins a state highway, therefore smoke management was our highest priority. We also chose this time of year, relative humidity and fuel moisture to get the results we wanted.
We conducted a very successful burn on Thursday in Chautauqua County, Kansas. This project is a repeat client with goals of wildlife habitat improvement, increasing grazable acres and improving the quality of forages.

We completed a successful 400+ acre burn in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma on Wednesday. This fire is the beginning of a multi-year project to improve wildlife habitat. It’s always nice to be amongst the pines and landowners who want to manage their land. 🌲🦌🦃

Spotted this old buck on public hunting feeding at the back of a wheat field before dark. Made a 250yd crawl across the field and was able to put the Cross to work, hitting him in the heart at 225yds and watched him expire. Harvesting a mature buck on public grounds is one of my favorite type of hunts😃
