Today was the last day for our school-year classes! Here’s what’s next: summer session for adult Spanish starts next week, camp starts July 6, and private lessons and tutoring will continue through July and August. 💛🇩🇪 In our German class for heritage speakers, kids enjoyed a fun beach-themed craft using only German to communicate. Bilingualism creates a stronger connection to their heritage, gives them more confidence to communicate with family near and far, and opens the door to friendships with other children who share their language and cultural background. It’s more than just learning a language. 🌍

🇺🇸In honor of Memorial Day, our school will be closed Saturday, May 23 through Monday, May 25.

In our German classes, we’ve been exploring the topic of spring and summer in Germany, using a short German video as our guide. 🎥🇩🇪
We learned vocabulary and discussed:
🐝 bees (die Bienen)
🤧 allergies (die Allergien)
🌱 gardening (der Garten / die Pflanzen)
☀️ signs of spring (der Frühling)
