Its the last day and the topic is NWS (National Weather Service) partner services. Get ahead of the next disaster by knowing the important players before, during and after floods - including flood insurance. Many homeowner's policies don't cover floods. Be financially ready for a flood event by visiting

Severe Weather Preparedness Week Day 5 Flash Flooding & Flood Safety
• Stay Informed: Keep up with local weather alerts and warnings for flash floods.

Prepare an Emergency Kit: Stock your home with essential supplies like water, food, and first aid.

Evacuate Safely: If ordered to evacuate, follow local instructions and move to higher ground.
• Avoid Contact with Floodwater: Do not enter floodwater, especially if it is contaminated.
• Stay Calm: If caught in a car during a flood, turn around and find high ground.
Secure Your Home: Turn off utilities and secure your home to prevent damage from flooding.
