"The Galactus Trilogy" comic books
Fantastic Four #48, #49, and #50 (published in 1966) are part of an iconic three-issue story.

Written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Jack Kirby, this legendary arc introduced the planet-eating Galactus and his herald, the Silver Surfer.

Fantastic Four #48 ("The Coming of Galactus"): The Watcher desperately attempts to hide Earth from the cosmic skies, but the Silver Surfer discovers it and signals his master, Galactus.

Fantastic Four #49 ("If This Be Doomsday!"): Galactus arrives to consume Earth's energy. The Fantastic Four's powers are useless against him, but the blind sculptress Alicia Masters touches the Silver Surfer’s soul, inspiring him to rebel against his master.

Fantastic Four #50 ("The Startling Saga of the Silver Surfer"): The Surfer battles Galactus to protect humanity while the Human Torch undertakes a dangerous cosmic mission to find the Ultimate Nullifier, a weapon powerful enough to threaten Galactus.
