Copycat Pizza Hut-Style Garlic Butter Rotini Pasta
Ingredients
1 lb rotini pasta
2 tbsp butter
4-5 cloves garlic, minced
1 (5.2 oz) package Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese
1½ cups heavy cream
1½ cups shredded mozzarella
½ cup grated Parmesan (optional, but adds great flavor)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp black pepper
Salt, to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions
Cook the rotini until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Whisk in the Boursin cheese until completely melted.
Add the mozzarella (and Parmesan if using), stirring until smooth and creamy.
Season with Italian seasoning, onion powder, pepper, and salt if needed.
Toss in the cooked rotini. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.
Garnish with parsley and serve.
For an even more Pizza Hut-style version, top with grilled chicken, bacon, or sprinkle extra mozzarella on top and broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned.
