The City provides closing cost and down payment assistance to income qualified applicants who are looking to purchase a single-family home or owner-occupied two-unit dwelling.

This program can provide 50% of a required down payment (not to exceed $5,000) for income qualified individuals and families purchasing a home in Bangor. Applicants may also qualify for up to $3,000 for closing costs such as appraisal fees, credit reports, title searches, bank processing fees, closing attorney’s fees, and recording fees.
