Be the hope....

Good Evening! A gorgeous day. It even ended up in the upper 80s! Tomorrow there will not be as much sun but it will still be very warm.

Today started out at the FedEx building. We had 2 full cars with a bit more to be picked up tomorrow. Grateful as always. We received coffee, sugar, cereal (always needed) canned goods, snacks galore, paper goods etc. As always the list goes on and on.

Then orders to go out. Blessing bags, a couple of backpacks, socks, underwear galore (we have never seen so much underwear go out each week!) Cereal, coffee, sugar, creamer, drink mixes, pancake mixes, syrups, canned goods..also..list just goes on and on.

Cereal donations and snacks came in today.

We worked a bit in the food unit today for more organization. Tomorrow I am going to try to get the "FedEx" unit somewhat organized. I need to do it tomorrow because I am out for Thursday and Friday.

Gratitude makes sense..

PSA short post tonight...

Good Evening! A perfect "early" summer day! Tomorrow looks equally nice. Weekend has some wet weather ahead!!!

Today, I started with another ride over to FedEx. 2 full vehicles. I only have a picture of one car but trust me...there were 2!

We got some unique olive oil, commercial size plastic wrap. Snacks, beverages, coffee supplies (including filters and such) paper goods etc. I even got to presort some for orders next week on Tuesday.

We do need to organize the room that the FedEx orders go into. It's a "tad" crowded but we make do for now.

Then this afternoon, the wonderful Villager who offered to get the size 20 sneakers came into MaineSpace while I was there with those sneakers...check out the picture. I wish we could see his face when he gets them!!!! 💗💗💗💗 Thank you Villager.

Tomorrow should be an "easy" day for me. Hoping just Clynk collecting but time will tell. I always roll with the punches.

Strength for today...

Good Evening! Another nice day. (any day with no snow nor rain is nice btw) Tomorrow isn't too bad and Thursday...sunshine and almost 90 degrees!

Like last Tuesday, the day started out at FedEx. 2 car loads loaded up and headed back to MaineSpace to get ready for the orders going out.

Blessing Bags, pop tarts, first aid kits, first aid gauzes etc., clothing, snacks, cereal...the usual and then some. Shelters needed items like hair brushes, nail clippers, sneakers, shampoos, laundry detergent and whatever.

The order from FedEx had tons of supplies. 2 big boxes of pop-tarts. Beverages, coffee, sugar, snacks, cleaning supplies, hygiene supplies and lots of other supplies. Thank you FedEx.

Then Villagers dropped off rain ponchos, clothing, cereal and poptarts. Thank you both. Another set of Villagers dropped off funds to pay for a storage unit. Love all of our Villagers.

Can you imagine being discharged from the hospital with a wound and being homeless? You and I would stop at a drug store and get extra gauze pads and first aid tape. Sadly a homeless person doesn't have that option. 💔 Hence HFH tries to keep some basic supplies on hand. Never enough but we try.
