Ugh, I hate roosters. Poor Petunia. Nesting the two bad photos, quite graphic if you don’t have a strong stomach.
I knew she was getting picked on cause I saw her feathers being pulled away (I have hen saddles on order)- but I didn’t see the cuts because her wings hid it. I picked her up today to give her some loving and this is what I had to deal with.
Had to debride some dead tissue away, and clean it up. Now she’s inside getting away from those jackass roosters.
SO. Anyone, willing to take 2 roosters? They are too juvenile and are bullying some of the hens. They need a giant flock to have fun with, and mama isn’t happy.
Luckily birds heal really well, and she had already started scabbing up, and I don’t think it’s infected. Now just some TLC and some time away from the asses.

This was my breakfast this morning! 3 new layers (teal, blue and tinted blue/ white) and a huge monstrosity that I’m sure hurt one of the older girls 🤣. The little ones were so tiny, I counted them as 1.5. Yum yum, fresh eggos- can’t beat it. (These were from yesterday)

Took a night time photo, with the beady eyes, Penelope was the only one interested in why I was shining a bright flash in their face lol😂 also tripods tail behind her 😂
