Today's spotlight is Maheen Ibrahimi, A&S '23, who was recognized for the work she's doing to advance health equity and improve care for underserved communities with the 2025 Herbert W. Nickens Medical Student Scholarship from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).

"My commitment to health equity began at Johns Hopkins University, where I worked through Hopkins Community Connections and served families at an underserved pediatric clinic in Baltimore... The lessons I learned at Hopkins laid the foundation for the initiatives I later developed in University of Pittsburgh Medical School, including resource navigation programs, culturally responsive care tools, and community health education efforts."
