Extremely LATE Video Post!!

This incident is from July 04, 2025 -

Firefighters from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department and BWI Airport Fire Rescue responded to the 7800 block of Spruce Hill Road for a reported dwelling fire.

Shortly after 12:33 a.m., Anne Arundel County Fire Alarm (911 Communications) began receiving multiple calls reporting a rear balcony on fire, along with nearby grass, with flames extending into the home.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a two-story split-foyer home with flames visible from the Charlie side (the rear of the structure), extending into the roof and attic.

A Working Fire Dispatch (WFD) was requested, bringing additional firefighters and resources to the scene.
Crews initially conducted an exterior attack to knock down the flames, while other firefighters advanced handlines into the structure to transition to an interior attack. Ground ladders were placed, and searches of the home were conducted to ensure no occupants remained inside.

Firefighters encountered heavy fire throughout the home, with a compromised roof and hoarding conditions in the basement, which created significant challenges for fire suppression and navigation.

The bulk of the fire was knocked down in approximately 45 minutes. Three firefighters were evaluated for minor injuries.

No civilian injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit.
