Look! I'm featured on the page!
Woof! My name is Grendel. I am an American Mastiff. I have been a part of Kennedy Krieger’s Animal Assisted Therapy program for five years. I love my gig as a therapy dog. Having patients pet me makes me extremely happy. Sometimes patients brush me. Sometimes we walk together, too. It makes me happy that patients are able to practice things like balance and coordination in such a fun way. I look forward to therapy sessions…and the treats that are part of these sessions.
I think all the staff at Kennedy Krieger Institute could be part dog. Woof, let me explain. Dogs don’t judge. Dogs are present in the moment and live for each minute. Everyone at Kennedy Krieger Institute is working so hard to help kids live to their best full potential.
They are so dog-like. Right?!
The best part of my job though is coming week to week because I can see the progress the children are making in their therapy. Mom and I just love our visits. We thank you for accepting us into your amazing family.
