Are you up for the challenge

Clean Block Tip:
Make sure you put your own trash out correctly. A lot of residents would never deliberately litter and are pretty cavalier about how they put their garbage out for collection.

1. Place trash inside of a trash bag that is tied up tightly, inside of your municipal trash can and make sure the lid is closed.

2. Don't set additional trash bags on top of your municipal trash can. If you have a lot of trash that day, put additional bag in separate 32 gallon trash can with a lid.

3. Maximize your collection day and recycle. Start simple with cardboard, paper, and plastic. Call 311 if you don't know your recycling day. Recycling Bins are available for purchase at local Ace Hardware Stores & will be on sale this Saturday August 18th at Poly. (Plus it's a free community Shred day! Shred up to 2 bags of documents!)

4. Don't put your trash out until 6 p.m. on the day before your trash collection.

5. Pick up any loose litter that is in the front or rear of your home. Check the storm drains too! Clogged storm drains lead to flooded blocks.

These are just some helpful ways you can BMOREBeautiful and work with Baltimore City Department of Public Works to Keep Baltimore Beautiful.
