Divatography

In spring 2009, some friends decided to throw their personal efforts into keeping opera alive in Baltimore. I offered to take pictures as my way of contributing to that event, and have watched this group grow from a true grass-roots-opera-community effort into a fixture of the Baltimore - and beyond - professional musical landscape.

Ten years later, they asked if the camera and I would join them for their production of Trial by Jury and Scalia/Ginsberg, and I was happy to oblige. Given the anniversary, I set myself a project of getting another "mirror shot" for the archive. The first one remains one of my favorite photos of all time, but I finally got that elusive infinity shot... which seems an entirely fitting metaphor. :)
