During Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to extend a huge THANK YOU to Little Feet Child Development Center and Boys & Girls Clubs of Carroll County for welcoming us to perform our puppet show about how our brains and bodies react to “scary” things.
At Springboard Community Services, we know it’s important to reach children at a young age and help give them tools to support their mental wellness, emotional regulation, and coping skills in a fun and engaging way. We are grateful for community partners who help make these conversations possible!
If your agency, school, childcare center, or local business would like to book a puppet show, please reach out to [email protected] to schedule.

We are halfway through Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to make sure you're set up for success as summer approaches!
Summer break is the perfect time to prioritize YOUR mental wellness. Here are 4 tips to help you thrive this season:
1. Consistent Sleep Schedule – We know sleeping in feels amazing, but maintaining a healthy sleep cycle gives you the energy to enjoy all the fun summer has to offer!
2. Daily Movement – Walk, bike, swim, or shoot hoops – moving your body every day keeps your energy up and anxiety down!
3. Creative Outlets – Dive into art, baking, music, journaling, or whatever lights you up! Summer is YOUR time to explore your passions and process your emotions.
4. Volunteer or Work – Find purpose this summer through a part-time job or volunteer opportunity. It's a great way to give back, build your resume, and grow into the next chapter!
Your mental health matters — not just in May, but every single day.
Which tip are you going to try this summer? Drop it in the comments below!

We were proud to attend the NAMI ribbon cutting as National Alliance on Mental Illness Baltimore Metro officially expands its services into Carroll County. This is an important step forward in increasing access to mental health support in our community.
NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore continues to be a vital resource offering free education programs, peer and family support groups, advocacy, and a compassionate helpline for individuals and families navigating mental health challenges.
Expanding these services means more neighbors will have access to the help they need, when they need it most—and it brings us closer to a future where we can truly cut the stigma out of mental health conversations.
Grateful to be part of a moment that strengthens support, awareness, and hope in Carroll County
