Today, we celebrate Juneteenth — a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and honors the courage, perseverance, and sacrifices of the men, women, and children who fought for freedom. It is also a reminder that the pursuit of equality continues, and that we must recognize the struggles of those who came before us while carrying forward their resilience and determination.

As we reflect on the progress that led to this day, I remain committed — as I have always been — to advancing opportunity, fairness, and a more equitable future for all.
