While on my morning dog walk I couldn't resist snapping a photo of this awesome sunrise. Even though it was a chilly 20 degrees, it was worth getting cold hands.
When I returned home I had a light breakfast of warmed applesauce made from Gold Rush apples from Barnard's Farm near Kennett Square, PA. Thanks to their owner, Lewis Barnard I've learned which apples make the best applesauce and the Gold Rush apples might be my new favorite. Who knows, someday I might post a recipe for applesauce so you can enjoy the flavors of this homemade treat.

Still alive and well. Had a great trip to Japan exploring food and culture. Next trip is to Vegas and they have some of the best dining options in the country.
