Did you know that Anna Jarvis (1864–1948) is credited as the founder of Mother's Day in the United States. Following her mother's death in 1905, she campaigned for a national holiday to honor mothers, leading to the first official celebration in 1908 and a national proclamation by President Woodrow Wilson in 1914.
