This is the post no one wanted to write.

PF Chang is only 3 years old, and despite being one of the most loved dogs at the shelter, he is running out of time. Volunteers adore him. Staff adore him. Everyone who meets him talks about his goofy personality, wiggly greetings, and how desperately he wants to be loved.

But being a shelter favorite isn’t enough to save his life.

PF Chang is the kind of dog who makes friends everywhere he goes. He lights up on walks, loves outings with volunteers, enjoys playgroups with other dogs, and has even done wonderfully on field trips outside the shelter. In foster care, he proved just how amazing he is in a home environment — cuddly, affectionate, outgoing, and happiest right by your side.

He needs a cat-free home and would do best with considerate kids 14+.

PF Chang has a euthanasia deadline of TUESDAY, 6/2. Without an adopter or rescue commitment, his life will end simply because time ran out.

Cocoa Needs a New Foster or Forever Home (because apparently “moving abroad” means her foster can’t smuggle 50 pounds of cuddle hippo onto an international flight 🙄)

Meet ✨Cocoa✨ — a 3-year-old velvet potato disguised as a dog. Somewhere between “personal weighted blanket” and “tiny stand-up comedian,” Cocoa is the kind of girl who believes personal space is a myth invented by cats.

At 50 pounds, Cocoa is the perfect medium-sized companion:
✔️ big enough to feel safe
✔️ small enough to fit awkwardly across your entire lap anyway

She’s:
professionally affectionate
crate trained
housetrained
low-to-medium energy
treat motivated beyond reason
calm on leash
and capable of learning new tricks faster than most people learn their email password

Seriously — this girl learned “down” in TWENTY MINUTES. She also knows spin, weave, high five, and probably how to file taxes if snacks are involved.

Cocoa’s hobbies include:
🥰 aggressive cuddling
🍗 hearing a cheese wrapper from three zip codes away
👂 using her giant satellite ears to monitor snack activity
💋 giving dogs kisses through the crate like she’s in a canine romance movie
🏃‍♀️ getting zoomies because a maintenance worker said hello one time

She absolutely adores people and has done well meeting kids, though when she gets excited she can get a little “corn-cobby” with gentle mouthing, so older kids or teens would probably be the best fit.

Cocoa does have chronic bronchitis (similar to asthma), which means she’ll need daily medication and a non-smoking home — but don’t let that scare you. She’s still a happy, goofy, loving girl who deserves a family just as special as she is.

And honestly? Her oversized ears, speckled freckles, squishy face, and constant need to love someone make her impossible not to adore.
