Powell Recovery Center

Powell Recovery Center was honored to welcome Maryland Health Secretary Dr. Meena Seshamani and Deputy Secretary for Behavioral Health Dr. Rachel Talley from the Maryland Department of Health for a visit to our Baltimore City campus.

We shared Powell’s daily work providing treatment to those most in need, along with our efforts to shape better treatment through a platform that connects treatment, healthcare, housing, criminal justice, and other information around the lived experience of each client.

We are deeply grateful to Dr. Seshamani and Dr. Talley for their time, thoughtful questions, and interest in Powell’s work to improve treatment, strengthen recovery outcomes, and help shape a more responsive behavioral health system.

Most of all, we are proud of the Powell staff who shared their work so thoughtfully and bring our mission to life every day.
