If you've been sitting on a talk idea, now is the moment to submit.

The program is already strong, but the organizers want a few more submissions in four priority areas:

- Business of Open Source — sustainability, governance, funding, and lessons from building open source organizations.
- Community of Practice — user groups, collaboration, education, mentorship, and inclusion.
- Water, Fire, and Resilience — floodplain mapping, wildfire risk, drought, disaster response, and climate adaptation.
- Core Tools and Infrastructure — the steady work behind , , , , , , , and .

Call for Proposals Extended for Talks and Lightning Talks — FOSS4G North America The Call for Proposals for FOSS4G North America 2026 has been extended for talks and lightning talks until July 20, 2026, or until identified program gaps are filled. The conference will take place November 2–4 in Sacramento, California, and is already shaping up to include a strong mix of talks,
