Wooooh. I definitely DO NOT have children that are afraid to tell me when I’m not on my sh*t. And I love that because open communication is SO IMPORTANT. Checks and balances baby. I want our relationship to thrive and that starts with a foundation of respectful requests, curiosity, and openness. Now I can’t always do what they want me to do, but I can acknowledge their needs, interpretations, and feelings to the best of my ability in the moment. And that’s something I CAN’T do if they’re too busy thinking they don’t have a voice. 09/21/2023
