So often when I initially speak to Ecommerce founders about the need to go LIVE for a selling event, one of the very FIRST things they say is: “But I hate myself on camera.” 😩 And I get it, b/c I honestly hate MYSELF on camera too.
And you are 100% allowed to feel that way…That feeling is something that may NEVER change! 🙃
But the depth of your hatred for getting in front of the camera and talking about your brand LIVE, will also “never change” how badly you still REALLY need to do it. 🤷🏾‍♀️
It won’t change the fact that if you ever took that leap, faced your fears and gave it a go, showing up for a LIVE selling event would be game-changing for building your brand and making sales. 🤑
So stop waiting for everything about you to be “perfect” for going LIVE. Instead start enjoying and appreciating the POWER that just showing up as you are right now can bring.

And it’s true —- coming out of your comfort zone, and showing up to promote your online brand in a brand new way, is admittedly not the easiest thing in the world to do! 🥺
Case in point: Yesterday, I tackled a lip syncing Reel for the first time EVER, and while I’d been pretty much petrified to take one on (I’m soooo not good at that type of thing! 😱 Plus, I’m actually pretty shy y’all) I KNEW that those are the types of Reels that are getting HUGE traction these days……..
So basically it was suck it up and try something new Aleah —- or be content a lot with more not-HUGE-traction results. 🤷🏾‍♀️
: Sure going LIVE for a selling event may sound terrifying. You may hate, and I mean HATE, being on camera. But let me tell you, it works. 🤑
