Stain looks different on various wood types. Cherry wood adds a red-ish tint to most stains, oak gives great grain definition and rustic alder gives you the added knots and rustic appearance. I would encourage you to not only look at a stain, but get a sample on the wood type with the stain applied to see how it looks.

I've had customers say this stain on that wood. I'm like, let me show you what that looks like. Their response, no need. I still pull it out because once you've signed and it's ordered, there's no going back. They look at it and say, Oh... it's the same stain? Yes, it is. Sometimes they love it more and sometimes they go back to it on Maple (the main wood type we show stain in).

I don't need a lot when it comes to doing a set up. I would like some extra talking to be cut out so I can focus, but that's about it. Let me work because time is typically not on our side.

What Am I Up To?

Here's a backdrop set up for Mother's Day. Just something simple for church members to snap pictures in front of with their moms.

It's Tips Tuesdays!

Some people get caught up in planning the event that they didn't create a program for the event. I wouldnt suggest a rigid timeline, but a timeline that allows flexibility. Things happen at events where you either can linger longer on one activity or skip to the next one and then double back to the one you skip.

Just being prepared even if you don't do everything on the list is better than just having people show up and winging it.
