When my friend Gary and I were the singers in Please, we used to smoke w**d and listen to 1920’s music a lot back in ‘71? ’72? when we lived on Pratt Street. I loved the optimistic, jaunty feeling of the music. Fast-forward to 2025 and the Albert project – I needed something uplifting after the chapter in which Albert’s wife and sons leave him – it was 1920-something—maybe early ‘30’s. It made sense to try my hand at a 20-ish kind of song about his new wife, Elsa: she did everything for him—even allowed him to see girlfriends…looks like Einstein was a Romeo!

Mucho grateful thanks to everyone who got back to me about “ALBERT.” I also had several requests to post a video soundtrack—songs and their accompanying videos only—so, here it is! The music videos play according to their order in the film—no narration. We also recorded a different piano intro figure for the title song—more suspension, more pensive.
