Our community is raising urgent concerns about the Baltimore Police Department's revised 2026 Use of Force Policy. While there are improvements, like clearer definitions and stronger safeguards, major gaps remain. These include expanded officer discretion, reduced transparency, lack of community oversight, and failure to address alternatives to policing, especially for behavioral health crises.
