💙 Update on Mr. Earth 💙

Today is one of those days that every rescuer dreads.

Unfortunately, Mr. Earth has taken a turn for the worse. Over the last few days, he has begun coughing up blood and struggling to breathe. Despite his incredible foster doing everything possible—nebulizer treatments, steam showers, medications, endless love, and around-the-clock care—he has not improved.

His foster rushed him to the vet this morning, where they believe he is suffering from aspiration pneumonia. Since last Thursday, Mr. Earth has lost 3 pounds, and his little body is becoming too weak to fight this battle. The vet has started him on a very strong antibiotic, and we are giving him the next 72 hours to show improvement.

But we also have to prepare our hearts for what may come next.

If he does not improve, the vet has told us that the kindest and most humane gift we can give him will be to let him cross the Rainbow Bridge. 🐾

We are absolutely devastated. Tears have been flowing all day. We don't want to say goodbye, but we also refuse to let him suffer.

We also know that many of you generously donated toward Mr. Earth’s brain MRI. Unfortunately, the earliest appointment available with the neurologist isn’t until August. We have been placed on a cancellation list, but with how rapidly Mr. Earth has declined, we no longer feel that waiting months for answers is the best option for him.

We want to be completely transparent with everyone who donated. If you contributed toward Mr. Earth’s MRI and would like your donation returned, please reach out to us and we will gladly refund your donation.

The one comfort we have is knowing that since the day he left that scary shelter, Mr. Earth has known nothing but love. ❤️ He has been spoiled, cherished, cuddled, and treated like the prince he truly is. His foster has poured her entire heart into him and has given him a life filled with dignity, comfort, and happiness.

We know Mr. Earth has captured the hearts of so many people. He has become a favorite not only to us but to hundreds of supporters who have followed his journey.

🚨💔 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED 💔🚨

These tiny 4-week-old puppies were found abandoned in a ditch. 😢🐾 At this age, they are incredibly vulnerable and should not be in a shelter environment. Young puppies can easily pick up dangerous illnesses, including parvo, and their chances of survival decrease significantly without a safe, clean place to recover and grow.

They deserve warmth, comfort, and the chance to know that humans can be kind. ❤️
