🌄 is back for Spring CUE!

One of my favorite traditions during the Spring CUE conference is waking up early Friday morning and hiking the North Lykken Trail with a group of amazing educators.

It’s simple:
Fresh air.
Sunrise over Palm Springs.
Great conversation with people who care about education.

Over the years, has grown into a small community tradition where educators step away from the conference for a moment of wellness and connection before the day begins.

A special thank you to Adobe for Education for supporting this year’s hike and sponsoring our post-hike coffee meetup ☕️

If you're coming to Spring CUE, you’re welcome to join us!

The concert in was postponed… and every fan in the city felt the let down.

But somehow a room full of strangers singing Karma Police together turned the night into something unforgettable.

“For a minute there, I lost myself” — and honestly, singing it with this crowd helped us find ourselves again.

One of the wildest, most beautiful music moments I’ve ever been a part of.

Thank you, Sam’s Bar, and thank you to every Radiohead fan who showed up in the sadness and made magic happen. ❤️‍🩹✨

Promethean Basics at Ripon High School 🎉

On August 1, Ripon High School teachers jumped into two hands-on sessions designed to help them unlock the full potential of their new AP9 Panels.

📌 What we did:
Session 1 (1 hr): Focused on using Explain Everything for interactive lessons.
Session 2 (3 hrs): A deeper dive into AP9 basics—navigation, whiteboard tools, app suite, and device integration.

📌 Who benefited:
Teachers and Principal Keith Rangel joined in, with 7 teachers in the first round and 9–15 in the second. For many, it was an introduction to the boards, and the energy in the room showed the excitement to bring new tools into their classrooms.

📌 The impact:
The evaluations said it best:

“Well paced.” – Phil Fiorio, Teacher
“Clear explanations of concepts with hands-on activities.”

Huge shoutout to Robert Mayfield — teacher, friend, and the one who made this PD happen. 🙌 Your leadership and initiative brought this to life for the Ripon HS team.

Ripon High School is making a clear investment in interactive technology, ensuring their teachers are equipped and confident to create engaging, student-centered classrooms
