Wow 51 yrs since sharing the Grand Ole Opry stage with WALTONS co-star

This morning I'm setting the Wayback Machine to February 15th, 1975. That was the date of my first appearance on the Grand 'Ole Opry, along with Mayf Nutter, who played the country bandleader "Bobby Bigelow" on The Waltons. The Opry cast in those days was legendary-Roy Acuff, Minnie Pearl, Grandpa Jones, Hank Snow, Marty Robbins, and a young Marty Stuart, who played mandolin with Lester Flatt. The atmosphere backstage was like nothing I'd ever seen-musicians wandering from one open dressing room to another, socialising and jamming together while they waited for their turn onstage. I'm thrilled to say that on May 23rd I will be appearing on the Opry stage once again, electric guitar in hand, with a couple of songs and some hot licks for the folks in Nashville.
