After a couple of failures and some learning I was able to save a partial blowout on this little bowl. Very glad I kept going on it after seeing the pay off in the grain, thanks to the Yorkshire Grit. Turns out I was running the lathe way too slowly.

So I bought a lathe…

Big surprise it’s a . I messed around a little with a piece of poplar when first set it up but this is my first attempt at a bowl/cup. First thing I’ve turned aside from a couple of pens during a class. Looking forward to messing around more with it after work

Newest project just left the shop today, another Mothers Day project that I finished a little late for my Nana. This one was a fun little project that I got to do some fine woodworking on. A temporary break from boxes and catch all trays.
Did some through tenons with wedges through the steps and the sides.

Next up on the docket is a pergola build!
