Hilltop Family: please help us celebrate as we wrap up another school year, and honor these 3 incredible women who have made a lasting impact on our school community! πŸ’š

Congratulations to Brett Tarpley for being named both Hilltop Elementary Teacher of the Year and Azle ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year. Your love for your students, your gift for making learning meaningful, and the way you show up every day with patience, joy, and purpose do not go unnoticed. You make a difference in ways that will stay with your students long after they leave your classroom, and this honor reflects the deep impact you have on everyone you teach and work alongside. We love YOU!

Congratulations to Michelle Bond, our Heart of Azle recipient. Your kindness, compassion, and unwavering support for others truly embody what it means to serve with heart. Hilltop is brighter because of you, Mrs. Bond! So thankful for YOU!

And congratulations to Sharon Geisler on her retirement after 26 years in education, including the last 5 years serving Azle ISD. You have poured so much care into those you’ve taught and worked with, and your presence at Hilltop has been a true gift! As you step into retirement, we celebrate not just your years of service, but the warmth, heart, and legacy you leave behind. We will miss YOU!

We are so grateful for each of you, and the impact you’ve made in our school family. πŸ’

Our 2nd graders turned reading into a delicious adventure during our Reading Restaurant! Classrooms were transformed into cozy, dining-themed spaces where literacy was served with a side of fun. πŸ“šπŸ½οΈ

Our 1st grade students participated in β€œbook tastings,” sampling different genres and exploring new stories while 2nd graders proudly read selections from their favorite books; every table offered something new to discover!

The excitement, confidence, and joy for reading filled every classroom as students shared books, practiced fluency, and inspired one another to become lifelong readers. What a sweet way to grow a love for literacy! ✨

Hilltop had the honor of celebrating Mrs. Houses FIRST EVER Principals Day yesterday (and what a day it was!) Filling her office with the most random and cute balloons brought everyone so much joy! πŸ€©πŸ’š

Celebrating you is easy, Principal House. You lead our campus by example, the Hilltop Hornet way, with compassion, kindness, and integrity. Happy Principals Dayβ€” we love YOU!

HT Fam: help us wish Principal House a wonderful day and show her some love in the comments! 🫢🏽

πŸ“’ Hilltop Elementary Field Day Update! πŸ“’

At this time, we are moving to Plan B for field day tomorrow due to weather. All events will be inside. In order to support this plan, the campus will be closed to visitors. We appreciate your understanding, Hilltop Hornets! πŸ’š

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈField Day Countdown: DAY 2! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Rain or shine, it’s Field Day time! β˜€οΈπŸŒ§οΈ

Parents, we are watching the weather closely. Please know that no matter what, Field Day is ON! We are hoping to stay outside so you can join your child for the fun. However, if we are forced to move the festivities indoors, please understand that we cannot accommodate visitors inside the building. In that event, the campus will be closed to staff and students only.

Stay Alert: Please keep a close eye on our social media pages on the morning of the event for the most up-to-date weather announcements! πŸ“±

πŸ“Έ CHALLENGE: Let's take a trip down memory lane! Think back to your own childhood: What was your absolute favorite part of Field Day? The potato sack race? The orange slices? The tug-of-war? Let us know in the comments! πŸ‘‡
