Why do I recommend a series of treatments to most patients?

When someone comes in with a symptom or condition, it's a sign that there is an imbalance within the body.

Something is off, and the body is trying to communicate.

Acupuncture works by supporting the body to function better and reduce symptoms.

Each treatment builds on the last, which is why consistency is so important.

In the beginning, I typically recommend coming in once a week for a series of treatments. This is where I tend to see the best results.

With consistent treatments, most patients report feeling better and better.

As your body becomes more balanced and your symptoms improve, we'll gradually space your treatments farther apart to a more maintenance schedule - to keep your body on track.

One of my favorite things is when a patient comes in and says, "Oh, I haven't even thought about that {symptom}."

When a symptom that has been consuming your thoughts, your body, your life is no longer present or on your radar, it means you've been able to get back to living your life instead of thinking about your symptoms.

I love supporting people to be engaged in their life.

How do I take care of myself so I can show up for people?
I try to keep my Yin and Yang in balance...

In East Asian Medicine, there is the concept of Yin and Yang.

🔥Yang is the action, the movement, the doing.

💧Yin is the rest, the replenishing, the nourishing.

Everything contains both Yin and Yang aspects.
Keeping a balance of both qualities is vital to our health.

If we have too much Yang, where we're always go-go-go, we can burn out and become depleted.

For me, I can get caught up trying to get to all the things that need to be done.

I have to be intentional about taking time for myself—to be alone, to be still, and to calm my mind.

One of my favorite ways to do that is knitting. It's very meditative.
This helps ground me and create ease in my body so I can handle the daily stresses while remaining clear and calm.

I know that when I don't take time to rest, I'm much more likely to become agitated and irritable.

Resting and tending to yourself isn't lazy, and it isn't selfish—it's necessary.

You can't keep giving without replenishing your own resources.
Taking care of yourself allows you to continue showing up for the people in your life.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is take a break.

What helps you feel grounded when life gets busy?

If you've been feeling like you're running on empty, I'd love to help you replenish your resources and restore some balance.

One of the things that makes East Asian medicine different is pattern recognition.

Two people can come in with headaches and receive completely different treatments.

Because I'm not only asking:
“What symptom do you have?”

I'm asking:
“What pattern is your body expressing?”

Is the headache connected to:
poor sleep?
stress?
digestive dysfunction?
inflammation?
hormonal shifts?
jaw tension?
overwork?
blood sugar instability?
emotional suppression?
nervous system overload?

This is why people often feel so deeply seen in East Asian medicine.

The goal is not to force the body into submission.
The goal is to understand the relationships between symptoms so function can improve as a whole.

That’s very different from chasing isolated symptoms one by one forever.

A lot of people spend years trying to “manage” symptoms individually while the underlying pattern keeps getting louder.

The insomnia.
The anxiety.
The bloating.
The tension.
The cycle changes.
The fatigue.
The irritability.

They are often connected.
And the longer those patterns stay unaddressed, the more the body adapts around stress instead of healing from it.

Your body is already telling a coherent story.
I can help you read it.
